Back to What Does it Cost?

A birch kitchen, with painted uppers, and a nice island. -about $17,000

This kitchen features grain matched ash, with a lot of contrast. We put drawers almost everywhere. The drawer cabinets cost more than typical door bases, but hold a lot more when well thought out. We used the Metabox ™ drawer system here in most cases. There is a walk-in pantry done in a completely different retro style. The photo doesn't show it, but there is a second huge drawer base to the left of the white door cabinets. The pantry has linoleum counters. We used an inexpensive hood, but tried to install it in an interesting, modern way. The cabinetry in the kitchen came in at $18,000, including the slate counters, and the pantry at $4,300. This includes installation. The Metabox drawers saved about $1,000. These prices don't include the tilework.
